OXIT® basis and OXIT® plus fire prevention systems
The primary objective of the OXIT® fire prevention system is to prevent fires in specific areas. The operation of the system is based on permanently lowering the oxygen level from 20.9 % to about 17 % in the areas to be protected. The reduced oxygen level is realised by blowing in additional nitrogen.
The oxygen level in the protected area can be set for specific situations and can be continuously measured and adjusted with an OXIT controller. It can also be linked to other regulating and protection systems.
