FX Prevent: specialist in fire prevention for companies

FX Prevent – together with sister company Presscon – has more than 20 years of experience in controlling oxygen and nitrogen concentrations using nitrogen generators. This technique can be applied in many ways: from fire prevention to improving the shelf life of vegetables, for example.

Short summary about FX Prevent
Presscon was founded in 1997 and focuses on the design, construction and maintenance of nitrogen expansion systems for large-scale greenhouse heating systems. In 2005, FX Prevent started with the aim of applying the know-how about nitrogen generators for fire prevention systems. In 2008, Presscon and FX Prevent jointly developed High Performance – Pressure Swing Adsorption (HP-PSA). This technology makes it possible to produce very environmentally friendly nitrogen with an optimized air flow and a unique pressure system for the active carbon.

Headquarters in the Netherlands
FX Prevent works closely with Presscon. We work from Honselersdijk with an organization of 25 professionals. Our head office on the Veilingweg in Honselersdijk has a 1,000 m2 workshop with an additional 250 m2 of office space. We also have our own testing and demonstration facilities.

Our certificates
The compressed air installation of FX Prevent and sister company Presscon meets the standards for ISO 8573-1:2010. In collaboration with FX Prevent, KIWA has drawn up the assessment guideline BRL K-21017 for oxygen reduction systems (with conditions for design, installation, maintenance and aftercare, constructional implementation of the room(s) to be protected and organizational measures). All FX Prevent technicians are VCA certified.

International sales agents
FX Prevent supplies and installs the LOX systems worldwide. To do this as well as possible, we work together with international partners. Read more about our partners here.

1997 - Founding Presscon

Our certificates

Our oxygen reduction system is designed to prevent the occurrence or spread of fire by displacing oxygen with nitrogen. In designing and installing it, we must meet several criteria. These criteria include continuity, oxygen level measurements, alarm signals when oxygen levels are increased or decreased, and following proper protocols when oxygen levels are increased or decreased.

Our LOX system meets all relevant safety standards and guidelines.

We design, install, and maintain our LOX system in compliance with the requirements outlined in NEN-EN-16750, the widely accepted European standard for oxygen reduction systems.
Our LOX Detect precision sensors are VdS Schadenverhütung GmbH approved for fire prevention system use. VdS is Europe's leading independent certification body specializing in fire safety.
KIWA and FX Prevent developed the BRL K-21017 guideline for oxygen reduction systems, covering design, installation, maintenance, and organizational measures.
The compressed air installation of FX Prevent meet the standards for ISO 8573-1:2010: this specifies purity classes of compressed air.
All FX Prevent technicians are VCA certified.
